2nd Shift Material Handler (Mon-Thurs.)Application Deadline: 23 October 2024Department: Packaging OperationsEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: LaGrange, GADescriptionTo provide assistance to the production department by supporting the production lines with material handling assistance.Key ResponsibilitiesTo perform duties required by supervisor to include but not limited to the following: Keep lines set up with needed materials (glue, inner cartons, master cartons, pallets, slipsheets, labels, etc.)•Ability to read and follow production schedule. •Keep trash bins emptied on a regular basis.Transfer finished goods to the warehouse in a timely manner.Process/bale all corrugated and metal throughout the shift.Maintain necessary paperwork, this includes transfer tickets, scrap tickets, housekeeping forms, etc.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of plant to GMP standards by removing empty pallets of inner cartons and other trash, sweeping, etc.Keeping the baler area clean on a continuous basis throughout the shift.Keeping the compactor area and driveway free of any debris.Any other duties as requested or required.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise•Ability to lift 35 lbs•Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season) and walk up and down steps•High school diploma or GED required•3-5 years manufacturing experienceBenefits401k2 weeks paid vacationPaid Sick TimePaid Holiday
