Here's What You'll Get To Do
  • Move materials (primarily glass) using vacuum lift assist equipment, manually lifting, and moving mobile carts from one position/location to another to facilitate the production process
  • Understand the schedule and the inventory requirements to keep production on schedule
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting.
  • Understand and apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and/or products
What We're Looking For To be considered for a Material Handler position, the following conditions must be met:
  • Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite to employment
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Able to write and do basic math
  • Basic computer skills or willing to learn
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Must follow instructions
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work in difficult weather conditions
  • Punctual and excellent attendance
  • Be available for overtime and emergency work
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand on feet wearing safety boots from 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, and bend frequently
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
