2nd Shift Molding Packager

Job Summary:Packages materials and products manually by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities•Pulls product from molding machine to separate plastic product from scrap plastic.•Pulls and packages product from molding machines according to a set schedule.•Weighs containers and adjusts quantity.•Labels containers, container tags, or products.•Packs special arrangements or selections of product.•Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.•Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.•Maintains a clean and orderly work area by picking up trash, sweeping molding floor, and wiping down molding machines.•Organizes storage cabinets.•Follows direction of shift lead to do other related projects to support the molding floor staff.RequirementsEducation: Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. FORKLIFT CERITIFCATION REQUIRED.Other Skills•Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
