We are seeking a motivated Line Lead to oversee daily operations in our greenhouse. The Line Lead will be responsible for guiding a team in various greenhouse tasks, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of plant care. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on work in the greenhouse.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team in daily greenhouse operations, including planting, watering, and harvesting.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Monitor plant health and growth, reporting any issues to management.
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for greenhouse tasks.
- Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to team members based on priority and expertise.
- Assist in maintaining greenhouse equipment and tools.
- Participate in inventory management, including tracking supplies and ordering materials as needed.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product output.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in agriculture preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Excellent communication skills in both languages are essential.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
Working Conditions:
- Work will primarily be conducted in a greenhouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
