Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for determining size, composition, plating process and thickness for materials from the customer order form. Must maintain production and quality standards. Must conform to all safety rules. Must maintain documentation as required. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or shift lead.
What You'll Do:
- Follows customer service schedule and assists customer service when requested.
- Determines amount of time and electrical current to be applied to parts during plating process in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures.
- Visually inspects parts through cleaning process and post plate rinsing process.
- Dries, inspects and packages plated parts in according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Performs thickness and adhesion test and documents as required.
- Keeps floors, stands, tanks, racks, and immediate work area clean and free of clutter and debris.
- Follows all safety rules.
- Fills out daily preventative maintenance check sheets. Documents existing problems on proper forms.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance as needed.
- Operates forklift whenever necessary.
- Responsible for identifying and handling hazardous materials. (Line 1)
- Plater I: Has successfully completed their 90-day introductory period and has earned a score of meets expectations on their 90-day review.
- Plater II: Is an experienced employee, with at least 6 months of continuous service where they have met all expectations and efficiencies. Has started to cross train on other lines and is steadily working towards improving quality and efficiency, while seeking opportunities to learn in new areas.
- Plater III: Is an experienced employee, with at least 2 years of continuous service where they have met all expectations and efficiencies for most of that period. Can operate 2 or more lines, is able to recognize quality issues and troubleshoot most problems with minimal guidance.
**Current position is listed as $17.00/hr. Pay will increase to $18.00/hr. with 90-days of successfully meeting expectations**
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
- Ability to use measuring instruments, gauges and test equipment proficiently and accurately.
- Have proficient understanding of decimals and fractions.
- Ability to work well with other people and demonstrate team player behavior.
- Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.
- Accurately read blueprint specifications.
- Ability to lift to 70 pounds at frequent intervals.
- Must maintain meets expectation attendance, safety, and job performance evaluations.
- This job requires standing, stooping, and bending 100% of the time.
Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm
