Job Description:Responsibilities:Direct, supervise and lead the work of employees and handle administrative functions to safely meet production goalsPrepare and conduct 30, 60, and 90 day performance evaluations for new hiresPrepare and conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned teamWork with supervisor to create and discuss team member annual performance goalsAssist with and provide training for employees to safely operate machines and follow processes and proceduresIdentify, recommend and implement safety and productivity improvements that are approved Work with supervisor and other leads to achieve schedule as requiredAssist in monitoring and evaluating all materials and quality processesFollow and commit to meet company policies and procedures for safety, quality, production, efficiency, final inspection, and shippingProvide lead support over materials handling, production, warehouse, or multiple areas within the plant that may span multiple departments or functionsAudit the floor, monitor productivity metrics, verify adherence to procedures and standard work, correct deficiencies and escalate to supervisor as necessaryCoordinate with supervisor to review and maintain schedules to ensure resources are available to meet schedule. Ensure that accurate information is reported, and the appropriate paperwork is completed and turned inCommunicate with oncoming shifts about any problems or issues that are occurring.Work with other departments to maintain or improve communicationsOther areas of responsibility as neededMay also perform one or more of the following:Assist in start-up, shut down, checking, and troubleshooting of lines as necessary.Set up operators daily to provide coverage if needed to make sure all lines are properly covered.Conduct quality checks, correct deficiencies, and initiate quality audits as necessaryCheck all products and/or materials in the department to ensure quality product is being produced and appropriate inventory levels are being maintained.Notify and collaborate with maintenance department as required.Qualifications: Must understand and be able to follow ALL safe operating procedures & requirementsLeadership abilities and skills requiredMust possess a cooperative attitudeMust be self-motivated and work without supervisionMust be able to understand and execute instructionsMust have excellent interpersonal skillsMust have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsMust have a good understanding of the Walk-In production processAbility to have a flexible work schedule and attend meetings as requiredEssential Functions:Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read blue printsAbility to use repetitive motionsAbility to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequentlyAbility to stand for long periods of timeEEO IS THE LAWEEO IS THE LAW (Spanish)
