2nd Shift Progressive Punch Press Die Setter We are currently seeking candidates with progressive punch press operation and die-setting experience and the desire to learn more skills for a client in Valley City, Ohio! In this position, you will setup and run an automatic punch press (progressive) to produce metal stampings in a 105,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. Shift:
- 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-4:30am
Pay:
- $20-23+/hr based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up punch presses, load coils, thread feed lines, adjust material straighteners and feeders, align, set and clamp dies
- Install (connect) lube sprayers, die protection, sensors, part and scrap conveyor(s) or ejection chute(s)
- Adjust and verify punch press control settings, Shut Height SPM, Counterbalance
- Coordinate specific needs with Material Handler and Scrap Removal
- Product removal from the line
- In-process inspection(s), may include attribute or variable gages, report non-conforming findings. Report miss-hits or problems
- Equipment Inspection, Safety Checks, Press Maintenance, Tool Readiness prior to use
- First Piece inspection of parts and Stamping Process verification
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have previous experience as a Progressive Punch Press Operator
- Die Setting Experience required
- Experience with hand tools i.e. wrench, snips, nibbler, etc.
- Experience using measuring instruments i.e. micrometer, caliper, indicator, scale, etc.
- Basic Computer Skills
