Tool Room Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Organizing tools and equipment on shelves and racks for easy access.- Keeping track of inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.- Inspecting and maintaining tools to ensure they are in good working condition.- Performing repairs or arranging for professional repairs when necessary.- Distributing tools to production teams based on their needs.- Tracking tool usage and ensuring timely returns.- Working closely with engineering teams to assess manufacturing feasibility.- Troubleshooting and improving process efficiency.- Operating milling machines and lathes for minor tool modifications.Tool Room Technician Requirements:- Trade or Technical degree or equivalent.- A working knowledge of mold components. Basic knowledge of types of steel used in molds. - Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
