Job DetailsJob Location TX-1 - Dallas, TX Position Type Full Time Education Level 2 Year Degree Job Shift Day Description2ND SHIFT SUPERVISOR, WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS - Dallas, TXJob Summary: The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations oversees a department within BOX Partner's newest warehouse in Dallas, TX and leads people and processes to safely deliver products to BOX Partners' customers with speed and quality. This leadership role is challenging and appeals to people who have a keen sense of ownership and enjoy the work that goes into launching a new operation. A BOX Partners warehouse is a complex operation that requires leaders who have a passion for working in a safety and quality-focused, high-volume warehouse environment, and who exhibit with strong people leadership skills. These skills are imperative in leading all aspects of their department, which may range across receiving, picking, shipping, transportation, or other functions. Some of the key activities of this role include allocating labor based on work available, assigning job duties, ensuring associates are working in a clean and safe environment, and supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager as required. A successful Supervisor will be able to provide a clear direction to their team each day and ensure they have the tools and support needed to achieve their goals, while also creating an environment that fosters ideas to improve the business day after day. Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the daily execution of work for their assigned department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance feedback to associates
  • Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy and in collaboration with human resources
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Execute the shift plan for their assigned department each day
  • Achieve assigned goals for safety, customer experience and productivity as applicable to their department
  • Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Transportation, and others to meet business objectives
  • Develops productive working relationships with other supervisors, warehouse management and local associates.
  • Maintain high level of floor presence to direct the flow of work and make the necessary movement of the team.
  • Help build the culture of the warehouse through associate engagement
  • Engage all levels of the organization to remove waste from operations processes by supporting Lean, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and goals.
  • Uphold the BOX Partner's mission, vision, and values in the building and in the community
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Work flexible hours as the business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
  • 3 years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of basic warehouse operations processes
  • 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Prolonged periods of standing/walking warehouse floor to observe/manage business activity
