The 3D printing engineer will work hands-on with every aspect of the production and 3D printing process. Our products place a premium on achieving high aesthetic quality and we have an emphasis on fine craftsmanship. A background with a focus on art, machining, furniture making, rapid prototyping, and mechanical engineering will be advantageous.
The 3D printing engineer will also troubleshoot and provide maintenance to our 3D printing machines, be able to evaluate 3D digital models for 3D printing, and support the overall needs of a growing production facility and business.
Responsibilities:
Experience all aspects of the 3D manufacturing process, reviewing models for production, post-processing prints, quality reviews, loading machines, machine maintenance/repair, and working on new products.
Receive training on our 3D printing technology and established production methods.
Lead projects to develop greater efficiency in our process and for improved design of our products, and be responsible for the end-to-end results with guidance from experienced leadership.
Skills and Relevant Experience:
3-year relevant job experience.
Engineering background with experience and interest in working with 3D printers.
Proficiency in handling small, delicate objects and using various tools for post-processing tasks.
Basic understanding of 3D modeling software.
Interdisciplinary thinker who can flex between highly creative and highly technical work.
Able to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize responsibilities.
Constantly looking to improve current processes.
Enjoy working with your hands, tinkering, and thinking about the big picture.
Have a strong attention to detail.
Experience as a leader or team member of design projects, from concept to completion.
Motivated by hands-on experience and working with machines.
Hardworking, enthusiastic, and intellectually curious.
