Job Description: The Learning Experience - Clinton Hill (TLE - Clinton Hill) is seeking candidates for assistant teachers (3 years old - 4 years old) for our play-based early childhood development center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn serving children from six weeks to five years of age.Full-Time (35-40 hours a week) Staff Benefits:

Principal Areas of Responsibility:
- Work a 7:45am-3:00pm schedule as part of a high-expectations, high-achievement performance culture that integrates best practice from New York City, New York State, and The Learning Experience.
- Encourage positive participation of students using enrichment and play-based activities to develop all aspects of their mental, physical, and social beings.
- Co-teach alongside staff members to develop and execute creatively on lesson plans focusing on diversity, social, and emotional learning, along with enrichment, curriculum themes, indoor and outdoor play, combining the arts and hands-on experiences with supportive guidance from management.
- Perform all duties related to childcare including potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.
Required Credentials:
- Study Plan to obtain your bachelors degree in early childhood education for meeting the requirements of 1 or 2 within seven years and meet additional eligibility requirements set forth by Article 47
- 1-3 years experience as a teacher for children under six years old.
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Familiarity with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Article 47 regulations.
