The Arc of the Quad Cities Area seeks 3rd Shift Assistant Supervisors for their residential facilities.

This role involves supporting the Residential Program Manager in overseeing 3rd shift staff, contributing to training efforts, and monitoring performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assist staff in completing on-the-job training (OJT) within specified timeframes and provide necessary training. You will be responsible for the overall operation of assigned homes during your shift, as directed by the Program Manager. It is essential to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Additionally, you will develop, coordinate, and implement personalized training plans for individuals in your care. Provide personal and health care, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals at all times. Represent the agency professionally within the community and maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and family members. Effective communication with individuals, agency staff, customers, and others is crucial.
In this position, you will be floating from different residential homes, some within the same shift.
A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and have access to a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance. Approval from the Agency's auto insurance carrier is required to operate agency vehicles. Applicants should be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. and assisting in the lifting and transferring of individuals over 100 lbs. A minimum of one year of direct service experience in the human services sector is necessary, with one year of supervisory experience preferred. Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential. Candidates must be able to produce written documentation that is clear, accurate, and complete. The ability to organize, prioritize, and independently complete tasks is also required. Direct Service Provider certification is preferred, or candidates should be willing to obtain it within 120 days of employment.
