The Power Pot Winder will be responsible for the winding of coils. LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 2402 Walkup Ave. Monroe, NC 28110ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret winding specification documents to determine characteristics.
- required for specific coil to be wound. Turn count verification is a must on all coils.
- Determine coil number, quantity, and revision. Record coil number on coil and
- on labor recording paperwork.
- Determine and install appropriate mandrel device on machine. Adjust mandrel,
- end plates and/or tailstock as required by window size specification.
- Load conductor and insulating paper to de-reeling mechanisms on machine.
- Measure materials and adjust machines to accommodate material and
- verify proper alignment.
- Make adjustments to machine (flattener, traverse and material tensions) to yield
- desired finished coil dimensions as specified.
- Wind and insulate coil per winding instruction.
- Wind coil sections per winding instructions to specified number of turns.
- Braze or bend taps and lead into coil at specified locations throughout the coil.
- Proper cold weld.
- Position and insulate leads per winding sheet and diagram(s).
- Splice material per specifications as required.
- Remove coil from mandrel device by hand or hoist it aside to pallet.
- Operating forklift.
- Load coils in/out of oven.
- Clocking in and out of jobs using Factory Track.
- Duties are to perform secondary winding but not limited to just that; Must be flexible to be cross trained
- in other areas of manufacturing as well. Overtime, if necessary, is required, which may include Saturday or Sunday.
- Safety is First priority.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have basic computer knowledge, data entry experience, and working knowledge of various equipment and tools.
- Must know basic math (read a tape measure) and must be able to use computers, as the manufacturing process continues to advance technologically.
- Modern production systems require assemblers to be able to use programmable motion-control devices, computers, and robots on the factory floor. Use of hand and power tools.
- Assemblers must be able to understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for a wide range of products and machines to properly manufacture the final product.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Analytical Skills and high-level attention to detail are both required.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Operate material handling equipment: Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or ITEC certification.
- Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment are required.
- Must be able to multitask.

ITEC offers a competitive pay package that includes an hourly wage paid weekly, $18.50-$25.00 per hour is paid weekly and is based on experience.
