: Job Details :

The Blown Film Extruder Operator is responsible for starting and operating a thermoplastic extruder and associated production equipment to convert polyurethane resins into blown film for elastomeric plastic sheeting and tubing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Determine Product Requirements: Based on customer specifications such as product, film type, color, width, gauge, and tolerances. Start and Set Up Equipment: Adjust extruder equipment, slitting stations, and winders according to product and customer requirements. Perform Inspections: Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of film and address non-conforming issues. Die Changeovers: Perform die changeovers and other general extrusion functions. Clean Equipment: Maintain cleanliness of dies and air rings. Record Set-Up Data: Accurately log extruder set-up data in the database. Operate Auxiliary Equipment: Safely operate related equipment such as slitters, winders, blenders, vacuum loading systems, forklifts, and roll carts.
