The Baillie Group is a cohesive, unified group of hardwood producers working cooperatively together with each retaining their distinctive and valued cultural identities. 3rd Shift Lead Maintenance Technician: In operation since 1982, Superior Hardwoods is one of the largest sawmills in Indiana. Thisfacility utilizes some of the latest innovations in lumber sorting and optimizing technology to ensure that our clients receive consistent quality hardwood. In 2017, Superior Hardwoods became a location of Baillie Lumber Co. We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Lead Maintenance Technician. This role is a key working member of the plant maintenance team and is responsible for providing leadership in maintenance and safety during 3rd shift production. 3rd Shift Lead Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Lead and guide 3rd shift maintenance technicians in safety procedures and maintenance related activities.Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance issues in a timely fashion.Perform adjustments and/or make in-shift corrections on equipment to maximize uptime and production.Provide support for production and production equipment to reach optimum capabilities.Establish a root cause analysis on equipment failures.Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.Daily communication with peers, on coming shift and superiors on status of repairs, personnel and performance.Other duties may be assigned as needed 3rd Shift Lead Maintenance Technician Qualifications: A 2 year degree/certificate in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields is preferred and a HS Diploma is required.10+ years of industrial maintenance experience is preferredDemonstrated skills in maintaining electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and componentsExperience with predictive and preventative maintenance practicesKnowledge of industrial safety, specifically OSHAProven ability to respectfully supervise a diverse workforce.Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
