Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and nine to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in Quality Control function in manufacturing environment.

Conducts Quality Assurance audits of production cells assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Will also consult with management to resolve quality, production and efficiency problems. Functions as an information source to machinists and various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur. May also assist the Quality Manager on special department projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, scratches and incomplete machined surfaces.
- Verify specified dimensions of product or material.
- Reject defective parts, and mark type of defect on router, container of parts, and inspection tag.
- Prepare all necessary customer required product supporting documentation such as PPAP, C of C, FAR, etc.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Select products for tests at specified stages in the production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.
- Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, hand tools, and vision prior to shipment.
- Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
- Accept responsibility of training and preparing new employees for this position.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
