T Bank N.A. has partnered with SmartHR in thier search for a Senior Specialist, 401(k) Recordkeeping.

Job Summary:

The 401(k) Recordkeeping Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and recordkeeping activities of 401(k) retirement plans. This role includes maintaining accurate plan participant data, processing contributions and distributions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations (ERISA, IRS, DOL). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for 401(k) plan participants, including contributions, loans, distributions, and plan changes.
  • Process 401(k) transactions such as enrollments, contributions, rollovers, distributions, and loans in accordance with plan provisions and government regulations.
  • Reconcile daily, monthly, and annual data related to plan contributions and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate with external vendors, financial advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth plan operation.
  • Research and resolve issues related to participant accounts, transactions, and plan operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in 401(k) recordkeeping, retirement plan administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of 401(k) plan rules, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in retirement plan software and financial systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with plan sponsors, participants, and team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with RELIUS.
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
  • Problem-solving ability with a customer service focus.
