Our client is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to lead and oversee the Surgical Services Departments, including the Operating Room, Outpatient Surgery, Recovery/PACU, and Central Sterile Processing. This senior-level role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, maintaining proper staffing and supplies, integrating department functions with other hospital operations, and managing the department's budget. The Director will also drive performance improvement initiatives, staff education, and professional growth within the department.Responsibilities:
- Organize, direct, and supervise the Surgical Services Departments.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain qualified staffing levels and adequate supplies and equipment.
- Oversee efficient integration of the department with other hospital operations.
- Develop and manage the department budget.
- Drive performance improvement and ensure timely completion of employee reviews and competencies.
- Promote educational and professional development among staff.
- Maintain professional growth in nursing and required licensure.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a surgical service line within an acute care hospital setting, achieved within the last five years.
Nice to Haves:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (e.g., MSN, MHA) preferred.
- Experience working as both an OR and PACU RN is a plus.
Location: Sanford, North Carolina (NC)Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
- Signing Bonus: Commitment Incentive of up to $10,000, paid in the first year.
