5 Hour Cleaner Operations Pay Grade: Starting at Grade 1, Step 1, $14.97 per hour Reports To: Custodial Supervisor Schedule: 5 hours per day / Hours and Schedule Vary / 52 Weeks Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to work at various buildings as assigned by Operations
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to perform to the District's Standard of Physical Activity with or without reasonable accommodations
Essential Job Functions:
  • Deep cleaning horizontal surfaces including but not limited to counters, desks, bathroom fixtures
  • Deep cleaning of carpets, tile, LVT floors
  • Perform high dusting in all areas of schools
  • Assist with moving classroom furniture
  • Assist with trash removal
  • All duties and procedures are to be performed within health safety standards as per OSHA and/or MIOSHA
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and climbs onto ladders. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, such as cleaning supplies, packing and unloading trucks. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move 80 pounds, such as salt and furniture. The employees will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, scrubbing machines, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work will be performed indoors although there will be required outdoor activities as well. Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
