Job Summary
The Cannery Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of Linear Park, Dean Porter Park, the Cannery and other local PARD properties. The role involves planning and executing events, managing vendor relations, ensuring site safety and cleanliness, and supervising staff. The Manager will assist in budget preparation, coordinates volunteer projects, and promotes community activities.

Key Functions/Knowledge/Skills
* Plans, assigns, schedules, supervises, and monitors the work of personnel: responsible for the selection, supervision, discipline, training, and development of staff.
* Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, coordinates, and supervises a variety of programs, events, farmer's market, etc., and ensures the conditions/environment is safe and reports accordingly.
* Responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of a marketing plan to attract various state, regional, national, and international events; attending conferences/conventions as needed.
* Use evidenced based decision making from analysis of various evaluation methods i.e., industry trend reports, Cannery, Dean Porter Park, and Linear Park usage data, demographic data, tourism data, etc. to identify the needs and trends for existing and future program offerings.
* Enforces quality control and food safety standards and ensures dated products are stocked and rotated properly.
* Conducts on-the-job training, instructing in use of tools and equipment, and demonstrating procedures.
* Provides customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints.
* Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to safety procedures.
* Consistently implement PARD program management principles to ensure equitable service delivery, quality delivery, and long-term financial sustainability.
* Fosters the culture and values of the City when interacting and communicating with other City departments, public officials, agencies, community groups, associations, organizations, etc., as a representative of the City.
* Prepares and maintains accurate reports and records in a timely manner; presents reports and presentations regarding events.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (no experience), or associate's degree plus two years of experience, or high school graduation or GED plus four years of experience.
