In all interactions, the position is responsible for making STAR service to guests and fellow team members a first priority.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include:oSmile and GreetoTake Care of NeedsoAnticipate, Ask and ActoRemember to Thank and ClosePerforms the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.Carries out supervisory responsibilities with assigned staff to retain and motivate a professional workforce for Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.Coordinates training process for associates.Plans, assigns and directs work.Administers performance appraisal process.Rewards and disciplines associates.Verifies and distributes shipments to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.•Assure timely deliveries or items received to casino venues.•Review bill of lading, packing slip or receipts towards orders ensuring accuracy and accountability.•Examines incoming products for shortages and/or damaged items.•Provides verification of acceptance or returns to vendor.•Notifies proper purchaser of any discrepancies.Review and select ways of parcel shipment to maintain efficiency.Assures appropriate specifications and cost efficiencies are met for deliveries.Review shipment options according to business needs.Collects and distributes in/out going mail to delegated personnel.Weigh, stamp and select efficient means of delivery of outgoing mail.Distributes incoming mail to delegated personnel.Reviews work methods and recommendations of establishing Shipping and Receiving policies and procedures to maintain efficiency.•Assure proper documentation is obtained.•Assure strictest confidentiality is maintained at all times.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEA minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.Certificates, Licenses & DesignationsMust meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal State Compact for Gaming.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES•Knowledge of and ability to apply internal gaming controls.•Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software including Outlook, Word and Excel.•Knowledge of and ability to apply commonly accepted rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation in written communication to develop management reports and summaries.•Skill in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.•Skill of developing and maintaining positive relationships with external and internal customers.•Skill in preparing written materials such as correspondence, reports and proposals to meet purpose and audience.•Skill of determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest service.•Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure guest expectations are met.•Skill of delegating authority and encouraging and supporting risk taking to develop responsible associates and management team.•Ability to identify and carry out actions to achieve goals while considering possible risks to effectively develop long- and short-range company objectives.•Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.•Ability
