Medicaid Policy is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of Florida Medicaid program policies, including: all Medicaid federal authorities (e.g. the Florida State Plan, 1115 waivers and home and community based waivers), administrative rules, coverage policies, managed care plan contracts, bill analyses, drug utilization review boards, preferred drug lists, supplemental rebate contracts, and KidCare/Title 21.This position is responsible for coordinating, tracking and developing processes to streamline projects and policies within the Coordination & Office Management unit. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and the oversight of programs such as CorrFlow, Presumptive Eligibility enrollment, Project Portfolio updates, developing and managing the SharePoint web page and researching other major projects having a significant impact on the policy unit.Main job responsibilities and examples of work performed include, but are not limited to:1. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge concerning the Florida Medicaid program and bureau operational processes and policies that are applicable and relevant to his/her job responsibilities.2. Conducting research on assigned topics.3. Processing all incoming correspondence submitted to the Bureau of Medicaid Policy.4. Serving as the backup for uploading, organizing, and maintaining unit documents on the bureau's SharePoint Web page.5. Developing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining a repository of approved policy questions and responses that come in through CorrFlow, Medicaid Policy inbox, and Director's Office.6. Developing, routing, and responding to routine assignments.7. Assembling, coordinating, distributing, and tracking all of the bureau's CorrFlow, Medicaid Policy Inbox, and Director's Office assignments, in accordance with the approved bureau process.8. Assembling, coordinating, distributing, and tracking Webinars/Meetings/Calls, in accordance with the approved bureau process.9. Developing and maintaining an approved report, which includes metrics prescribed by the incumbent's supervisor or bureau chief.10. Assisting in the development of training and providing technical assistance to staff within the bureau on the CorrFlow, Medicaid Policy inbox, and Director's Office assignment processes to ensure consistency in operations and conformity with goals and objectives of the bureau/Agency.11. Maintaining open lines of communication with staff within the bureau on outstanding assignments, including attending bureau/section meeting focused on assignment routing and notifying assignees of pending due dates.12.
