Title: 862 - Maintenance Worker IOrganization: PARDS: Sports ParkDepartment: Sports ParkLocation: PARDS Sports ParkRate of Pay: $13.00Job SummaryThe Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing general inside and outside building and grounds maintenance activities to include but isnot limited to: clean, sweep, wax, paint, perform carpentry and building repair duties; mow, trim trees, dig ditches and trenches; clean and sweep parking lots and surrounding areas. Safely operates tools and equipment in all types of weather or conditions.* Maintains green areas by mowing, weeding, landscaping, and trimming vegetation.* Maintains buildings and structures following direction from the supervisor and/or manager. This might include, but not limited to, drywall repair, painting, installation of fixtures, pavement hot and cold patches, street signs and pavement markings, cleaning, washing, mopping, sweeping, restocking supplies, trash pickup, cleaning restrooms and cleaning parking lots up to standards and safety expected by the general public.* Maintains facilities, tools, and equipment for preventative maintenance, proper function, and cleanliness.* Maintains facilities, gutters, roofs, parks, and trails free of trash and debris.* Daily inspects facilities, vehicles, equipment, and tools thoroughly; reporting mechanical defects and needed repairs to supervisor or on written reports.* Reports hazardous, dangerous, or unsafe conditions immediately and completes necessary written reports.* Successfully works well in groups and is a good team player.* Performs other related tasks and work in emergency situations, as necessary.Minimum Education & ExperienceHigh school graduation or GED, or sufficient education to read and write with no experience.
