We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to be based in Chicago, Illinois, covering Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, & Iowa as the Architect & Design Specification Manager-Central. OverviewThe A&D Spec Manager role is responsible for leading a team of A&D Specialists in their geographic area ultimately delivering revenue results through demand generation and specification closure.Specific Roles/Responsibilities
  • Work with the Director of Specifications, Sales Director, Region Sales Managers, Inside Sales team members as well as Distributor specifications representatives, to achieve area revenue & volume goals
  • A&D Spec Managers will be responsible leading, coaching and developing the A&D Specialists in their geography
  • A&D Spec Managers will identify and align needs for tools with Formica Marketing and Design
  • Engage with the Formica regional market selling team, including Territory Managers, A&D Specialists, Channel Managers, Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales
  • Take the lead with local distribution branches to facilitate project tracking, execution of A&D initiatives and distributor specification representative coaching
  • Coordinate with the other A&D Spec Managers to track your team's specifications across North American & our global business opportunities
  • Create strategies and initiatives to increase specification opportunities & effectiveness
Qualifications include; track record of success direct & indirect (Specifications) Sales, track record of consistently meeting sales goals, building and leading sales teams, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to manage complex pricing structure, effective negotiation skills, proficient in Sales Planning, project tracking. Demonstrable skill set utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
