JOB SUMMARY:
Under the leadership and direction of the Chief Regulatory Officer, the A&RA Coordinator is responsible for supporting operations of the organization's Accreditation/Regulatory and Regulatory Readiness program(s). The Coordinator serves as the primary support person for the AVP /CRO role and the department. The incumbent acts as a lead contact for the department, screens and directs requests for department services, maintains expertise in the technology systems that support the network programming including the Policy Management System and RL Datix Software modules. Under the leadership and direction of AVP/CRO Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting and ensuring efficient operations of the organization's Accreditation/Regulatory and Regulatory Readiness program(s).
The Coordinator acts as a customer resource (UVMMC, Network) for the policy and procedure system regarding templates, required approval process, workflow and system entry, publication, and document integrity. The role works closely with the AVP and in collaboration with the Information Service Delivery and Facility Operations Group members. This role conducts policy/procedure orientation and training sessions. The Coordinator position is responsible for interfacing with leaders and staff at all levels in the organization and is responsible for educating designated staff throughout the organization(s) on the standardized process for policy creation, approval, publication, and maintenance. The role is responsible for producing system status reports and system data.
Key accountability is managing, processing, and tracking Policies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other types of documentation through the review and approval process according to approved polices. The role understands accurate reporting and documentation and can support the strategic and operational objectives of UVMHN.
EDUCATION: Associates degree in a related field, or knowledge obtained through an appropriate combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in document control or quality control.
EXPERIENCE: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management software.
Working knowledge of regulatory environment in health care. Effective time management skills with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects within a defined period of time are required. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs of the department is required. Demonstrated excellent written and spoken communication skills are required. Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all levels of staff and management is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Access and SharePoint required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
