East Penn is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist who will be responsible to use, coach and train fundamental Lean problem-solving methods through advanced 6 sigma and other problem-solving concepts to help drive the reduction of waste and variation. Will serve as a change agent while working closely with plant and functional support leaders, as well as, key stakeholders to drive understanding and adoption of Continuous Improvement methods.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency and quality
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within various departments using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify process-related issues and implement corrective actions
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to promote best practices and instill a continuous improvement mindset in team members
  • Collect and analyze performance metrics to track improvement outcomes and report results to management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create process maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop and maintain a repository of improvement projects, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Work with leaders and managers to mitigate resistance and foster a positive attitude towards change
  • The job functions listed are not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned

Education: Associates degree or equivalent work experience

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimally 0 to 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Participated in any Problem Solving, Lean event, Lean 6 Sigma activity
  • Engagement with Daily Management Boards

Preferred:

  • Minimally 1 to 4 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Led a Problem Solving or Lean Event
  • Lean Foundations Certification
  • Regular Stand Up Meeting attendee and participates routinely in other Lean Core Activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action
