Individualized plans to remediate students in reading and/or mathematics through modeling, demonstrating, explaining, reviewing and assessing students' work. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching or tutoring experience. Description: Performs professional work providing teaching to students in general instruction or in a specialized subject or assigned group of subjects. Work is performed under regular supervision.
- Provides small-group instruction;
- Provides intervention to students and reinforces skills in math and reading content areas;
- Prepares intervention sessions to foster academic development;
- Assesses student progress as directed by the teacher;
- Communicates regularly with teachers;
- Attends training as scheduled;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent with at least 30 semester hours from an accredited institution of higher learning, verified by transcript.
