Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Independently sets up, adjusts, troubleshoots and operates centerless or center grinding machines or honing machines on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring an intermediate level of skill
- Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of manufacturing order of operations involving combinations of operations
- Works from operation sheets, and machine setup instructions
- Self-sufficient with work-holding and work support methods, stone selection, wheel speed, wheel dressing and machine adjustments
QualificationsEducation:
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience as a grinding operator or 1 year of CNC machining experience.
Physical Demands:
- Continual standing
- Frequent mental and visual attention
- Frequent bending, twisting
- Frequent grasping items and tools
- Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
Other:
- Will be required to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs.
