Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe AC-130J Loadmaster is responsible for providing Aircraft Systems/operational procedures instruction in aircraft/ classroom/ simulator and/or practical environments. Assist in development of curriculum for new type courses as required. May provide additional special services such as courseware review and other additional administrative duties such as publications, safety, quality audits, FCIF scheduling, and other duties as maybe assigned, etc.
- AC-130J Loadmaster will provide formal aircrew academic, simulator training to officer and enlisted initial/mission qualification, AC upgrade, requalification, instructor upgrade, and key staff students to special operations aircrew in emergency procedures training, systems instruction, instrument flight, close air support, air interdiction, armed reconnaissance, and tactical operations.
- Provide academic and simulator refresher training to qualified officer and enlisted AC-130J aircrew members.
- Assist in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process in designing, developing of and ensuring all HC130J courseware is correctly applied.
- Selected candidate will become a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) certified instructor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college.
- Current as a Loadmaster in the AC-130J within the previous two years; or within the previous 8 years if the candidate has performed 8 years of military operational flying duty at the time of hire with at least two years or 200 hours experience as an instructor in the AC-130 H/U/W/J.
- Selected candidate must be able to obtain a minimum of an active SECRET clearance, will be subject to a government security investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements, including US Citizenship, for access to classified information and Communications Security (COMSEC) material.
- 2000+ hours in the AC-130 H/U/W/J.
- 500+ hours of instructor time
- 500+ hours of Weapon(s) employment
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
