Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe AC-130J Synthetic Environmental Coordinator (SEC) will be responsible for the operation and configuration of various Semi-Automated Forces (SAF) programs, including MACE, DI-Guy, and VR Forces, to support AC-130J training events. The SEC will ensure training devices are properly set up for events, including configuring aircraft, environmental conditions, geographic areas, and threat environments. The role also involves scenario development, updating device scripts, and assisting with the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process to ensure accurate application of courseware. The candidate will work within local procedures and collaborate with the management team to support dynamic and realistic training environments. The SEC will work closely with team members and the management team to ensure the success of training events and meet mission requirements. Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Operate and configure various SAF programs, including MACE, DI-Guy, and VR Forces, or other SAF platforms used by the command.
  • Ensure proficiency in operating current SAF standards within six (6) months of hire.
  • Set up training devices with accurate configurations, including aircraft setup, environmental conditions, geographic locations, and threat environments for training scenarios.
  • Develop and update device scenarios, author, and execute training event scripts as per local procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) team to design and develop courseware, ensuring proper application in training environments.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the management team to meet training and operational objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college.
  • 2000+ hours of experience in AC-130H/U/W/J operations.
  • 500+ hours of instructor experience,
  • 500+ hours of weapon(s) employment.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance, subject to a government security investigation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expertise in operating SAF programs such as MACE, DI-Guy, or VR Forces.
  • Experience with military training systems and simulators.
  • Familiarity with instructional design and training development processes.
