Job Description:
Responsibilities:Assist students in achieving their educational goals by offering advisement, support, and interpretations of university policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison to other departments on campus and provide special services to traditional, non-traditional, post-baccalaureate, transfer, new, and returning students.Provide holistic advisement to students regarding academic, career, and related matters. Establish and maintain contact with students to monitor academic progress and eligibility of readmission, conditional, or transfer students.Act as a liaison between students and various academic and non-academic departments. Refer students to appropriate services and departments when necessary.Maintain accurate student records while using computers to generate reports and communicate with students. Conduct academic workshops for students. Facilitate the registration process for students.Perform related administrative and advising duties including new student orientation.Participate in departmental and University-wide committee assignments. Update written material provided by departments and colleges for students.Additional responsibilities as needed. Additional Position Information:Required Qualifications:Requires a relevant Master's Degree and experience working with students and others in an educational or agency environment. Organizational, computer and excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to demonstrate initiative and work in a team environment.
