Provides comprehensive academic advising to a dynamic and diverse body of undergraduate students in the College Center for Advising Services (CCAS); advises students on academic matters including program planning, goal setting, academic progress, policies and procedures; refers students to faculty and other offices for specialized assistance. CCAS strives to encourage and celebrate an inclusive environment that is open, welcoming and supportive of staff of all backgrounds and experiences. The Academic Advisor manages an assigned caseload of advisees over a four-year period from matriculation to graduation. Provides advisement and support about course planning, educational goals, career aspirations, college policies, and opportunities for engaging in campus life. Encourages exploration and actively supports participation in experiential learning. Communicates regularly with students about upcoming activities and deadlines.
