American International College is a private, coeducational institution of higher education located on a 88+ acre campus in Springfield, Massachusetts. Job Description:

* Provide office and facilities support for the office of academic affairs, including high level executive support to the EVPAA. Supervise assigned student workers. Maintain confidential information for the EVPAA including FERPA protected information. This includes, but is not limited to, information specific to courses, students and faculty, and curriculum. Track budget for the office of the EVPAA and assist in budget planning.

* Serve as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the College. Provide support for all international student issues and concerns. Ensure accurate records are maintained in the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Serve as a liaison to the United States Department of Homeland Security. Create and provide oversight of the Student Ambassador position to support international student life issues. Responsible for ensuring compliance with college policies and with local, state and federal regulations and laws.

* Working with the deans, create a process of professional development, support and growth for adjunct faculty. In addition, create faculty and course satisfaction surveys and process to assess quality of the student academic experience.

* Serve as the lead person to develop, plan, and implement the College's Annual Commencement Ceremonies and other Academic Ceremonies. Coordinate and provide oversight to the implementation phase including follow up with other offices, outside vendors, etc.

* Management of all department resources and workflows for the Office of Academic Affairs which includes creating and managing a process to coordinate student academic disciplinary action, leaves of absence, academic dismissals, and academic integrity issues for the office of academic affairs.Prepare and provide enrollment reporting and analysis (enrollment/attrition/persistence/completion) to the EVPAA.

* Assist faculty, students, administration, and the public with questions and concerns.Assist with the creation, assessment and improvement of various processes within the academic affairs office.

Requirements:

Required Degree(s): Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Degree(s): Master's Degree in Higher Education or a related field

Required Field of Expertise: Experience working in a higher education environment

Preferred Field of Expertise: 3-5 Years in an executive administrative level position

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

* Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and make recommendations

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Superior organizational skills; able to prioritize

* Ability to find our answers to questions and sort out the unimportant from the important

* Must be able to work in a diverse environment
