Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Academic Engagement Student Assistant - Institutional Student Worker on the Gainesville campus. AE's small team, includes a Director, Assistant Director, and HIP Faculty Fellows, who supports faculty, staff, and students involved in these initiatives. AE Student Assistants play a vital role in supporting these efforts and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to programs that promote academic engagement and success across all UNG campuses. Student Assistants work closely with and provide administrative support as assigned to CTLL staff and HIP Faculty Fellows in completing AE-related projects and tasks. This role offers a variety of tasks, ensuring that student assistants are constantly engaged and challenged.

Responsibilities

* Provide administrative support.

* Write and proofread documents and media, such as advertising, website information, Library Guides, etc.

* Scan and archive documents in a digital filing system.

* Maintain the AE social media.

* Assist in data entry.

* Assist in the maintenance of shared spaces and office resources.

* Research AE work related topics including HIP and LEAP initiatives at UNG.

* Reports to the Director of Academic Engagement.

* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

* Excellent verbal communication skills.

* Ability to write clearly and concisely with limited guidance from AE staff,

* Ability to pivot quickly between tasks.

* Ability to manage routine tasks independently.

* Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

* Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
