The Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full-time academic general pediatrician to join our complex care program, LINCS (Linking the Individual Needs of Children with Services). Our highly experienced team includes two complex care pediatricians, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, a social worker, a patient representative and administrative staff. The LINCS Complex Care Program provides longitudinal primary care services and sub-specialty care coordination utilizing a medical home model for patients with medical complexity. Our patient population includes children and adolescents from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with comorbidities and technology-dependencies associated with extreme prematurity, neurodegenerative disorders, solid organ transplants, short bowel syndrome, complex congenital heart disease and chromosomal and metabolic disorders. A desire to work with this important and specific patient population is essential. Responsibilities include direct patient care and precepting of residents in the LINCS Complex Care Program in CHAM and one of our pediatric primary care teaching practices. Additional responsibilities include inpatient consultation and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. We are looking for candidates who are board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, have experience in medical education or demonstrated scholarship and an ongoing commitment to research in the field of complex care (e.g., clinical research, health services/outcomes research, community based participatory research or implementation science). The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. About the Division of Academic General Pediatrics The Division of Academic General Pediatrics consists of attending physicians, nurse practitioners, PhD social scientists, psychologists, social workers and administrative staff. Our clinical practice sites are patient centered medical homes with integrated mental health services. Our practices are the primary teaching sites for residents in our pediatric residency program and include a federally qualified health center. Division faculty are actively engaged in medical education, quality improvement and research. Division research initiatives are focused on social determinants of health, mental health, asthma, obesity, health care transitions, adolescent health, environmental health and children and adolescents with special health care needs/medical complexity. In addition to a competitive salary of $175,000-$210,000 commensurate with academic rank, we offer the opportunity to enhance compensation with clinical productivity incentives and bonuses.
