Salary: $33,920.00 AnnuallyLocation : Glenville, WVJob Type: Non-classifiedJob Number: 0485P00207lDivision: Student Support ServicesOpening Date: 10/28/2024Description The Academic Program Associate performs routine to moderately complex administrative support duties following established departmental policies, procedures, and methods to support the Student Support Services Program, Program Director, and Teacher/Counselors. Examples of Duties The Academic Program Associate is responsible for providing a wide variety of basic to moderately complex administrative assistance to support the general administrative functions the Student Support Services Program. The Academic Program Associate will need demonstrated interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and excellent Microsoft Office and database management skills.Job responsibilities require the ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and initiative in performing duties related to a wide range of subjects, programs, and projects. Work is closely supervised and performed using self-initiative without detailed instruction; supervisor/manager available to resolve issues. Problems and decisions faced in this position may involve nonroutine situations within established protocol, guidelines, and/or polices. Typical Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Experience in roles such as academic advising, student services, office management, or program coordination.
  • Experience with student management systems (Banner), LMS systems (Brightspace), Degree Works, Databases (Blumen).
  • Proficiency with scheduling, coordinating events, managing budgets, and maintaining records.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Comfortable with working with a diverse student population.
  • Ability to address student issues or administrative challenges effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on new tasks.
