POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be involved in every aspect of the day-to-day operations of the ASICS Creation Center LLC (ACC) business. This position will oversee the ACC Finance function, including but not limited to bookkeeping, financial reporting (month, quarter, and year end), budgeting and forecasting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management, Tax Compliance, State Sales Tax, Income Tax, Treasury (banking), and financial customer support. Stakeholders for this position will be primarily ASICS Corporation (AHQ; Headquarters in Japan), as well as ASICS America Corporation (AAC). This position requires flexibility as we respond to new business and customer requirements, while being able to quickly adapt to new strategies and priorities as they evolve.

Organizational Relationships
  • Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including any Treasury related activities.
  • Regularly inform CEO of matters related to ACC's business.
  • Perform month-end duties, including financial statement preparation, PL analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of supporting schedules, and uploading to Stravis (the global Consolidation ERP).
  • Manage the recording of all financial transactions into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls necessary for fast paced growth and scalability.
  • Assist AAC in the preparation and filing of the following (but not limited to):
    • U.S. income tax returns
    • Indirect tax compliance returns
    • U.S. 1099's and other filing as required
  • Be a key participant in the creation of budgets, forecasts, and reporting actuals to internal and global management, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals, perform ad hoc analysis, research, and other assignments when required.
  • Providing client support for escalated customer service issues.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-years of experience working in a senior-level accounting or finance role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using Quickbooks accounting software for Small and Medium Enterprise.
  • Experience with U.S. payroll and U.S. tax compliance.
  • Experience with budgeting and planning for small to medium size organizations.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Office work, some lifting, considerable walking.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
