ACCESS Achievement CoordinatorJob no: 508694 Position type: Full-Time 12-Month Department: 410200 - Disability Resource Center Location: Main Campus - Starkville, MS Categories: Professional Position Open Date: Dec 11 2024 Position Function:The ACCESS Achievement Coordinator oversees the training and supervision of ACCESS College Coaches, develops and administers outreach opportunities to promote and market the program, develops and implements recruitment strategies, and manages some of the daily office responsibilities. This position also requires scheduled on-call duty.Salary Grade: 14Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are Unclassified and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Work with ACCESS leadership staff to develop and implement training of college coaches.2. Supervise all college coaches to ensure understanding of roles in supporting and teaching ACCESS students.3. Oversee timely and accurate completion and submission of timesheets from college coaches.4. Develop marketing materials and implement effective recruitment efforts through participation in select conferences, school district transition fairs, partnerships with state and national agencies, etc.5. Develop, implement and maintain an ACCESS Alumni networking and outreach strategy.6. Gather data and write annual report tracking alumni employment, independent living outcomes, and alumni and parent satisfaction with the ACCESS experience.7. Plan and coordinate ACCESS sponsored events for current and prospective students and families.8. Teach ACCESS courses.9. Oversee daily office needs including responding to inquiries from prospective ACCESS students, their parents, or teachers.10. Manage social media accounts and website for ACCESS.11. Other duties as assigned by ACCESS leadership.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum Required Education and ExperienceMinimum FocusEducation Bachelor's degree Any degree area (required)Experience (years) Two Work experience involving people with disabilitiesPreferred Qualifications:1. Master's degree with experience in implementing behavior interventions.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:1. Knowledge of marketing and recruiting strategies2. Ability to pay attention to details3. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills4. Ability to use a variety of database and spreadsheet programs (e.g., Excel, Slate)5. Comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting stringent deadlinesWorking Conditions and Physical Effort1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.2. Frequent externally imposed deadlines set and revised beyond one's control. Frequent interruptions influence priorities. Meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to the position. The position may involve conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis. 3.
