Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Access Coordinator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the provider master schedule templates, track time away requests, and monitors wait-lists to identify opportunities to meet client demand. Adjudicates conflicts and/or raises to the appropriate administrative person. The Access Coordinator must maintain in-depth knowledge of operational and client flow considerations.

Basic Responsibilities: (partial listing)

* Builds and manages client and clinical staff schedule templates, and monitors and updates schedules to ensure clients are seen on time.

* Schedules, reschedules, cancels and coordinates appointments using the Agency electronic medical records system. Resolves scheduling conflicts and issues to minimize disruptions. Provides appointments reminders.

* Facilitates exiting providers by managing scheduling application removal/block in system, including the deletion of future templates, reset of release date, and compiling client bump list.

* Conducts client registration activities to ensure accurate financial and biographical data and documentation, inputs and/or updates accurate patient information. Collects and posts client payments.

Education:

* High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree preferred.

Experience:

* 2 years of experience in help desk, registration, billing, or scheduling. Experience in a healthcare, patient access environment preferred.

Required Skills:

* Excellent organizational and communications skills

* Excellent customer service skills

* Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency.

* Respect and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Preferred Skills:

* Knowledge of and experience with electronic medical record.

* Prior experience in a community mental health environment
