Job SummaryGreets all patients and families presenting to ER for services and initiates registration process in Meditech. Lays the foundation for a positive patient experience by providing a courteous and professional reception to our facility. Effectively communicates with Triage Nurse and Patient/Family Liaison in order to expedite patients access to services. Accurately and efficiently enters required demographic and visit information into Registration System.Experience* Meditech experience preferred.* One year experience in hospital environment with patient care or patient relation experience preferred.Education and Training* Medical terminology preferredLicense & CertificationOther Requirements* Proven typing ability (40 wpm) and computer skills (i.e.. Meditech).* Manual dexterity necessary for typing/computer purposes.* Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to speak/understand Spanish preferred. Must demonstrate and maintain a high level of customer service awareness and skills.* Proven ability to interact appropriately with the community, hospital staff and physicians and maintain high level of confidentiality.* Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills and flexibility.* Ability to speak the English language in a clearly understandable manner.* Ability to troubleshoot/maintain proper operation of business equipment preferred.
