Invisible Hand is looking for a Strategic Account Director to join our rapidly growing, social impact and culture change agency. Our team's mission is to use culture, cause, and live experiences to spin the world forward with great equality and opportunity for all. We work to build category-defining content and experiences and meaningfully move key business metrics by delivering world-class creative. Our client roster includes the Archewell Foundation, Instagram, Planned Parenthood, the Obama Foundation, Spotify, Girls Leadership and PBS. This is a highly visible role within the agency that requires an exceedingly organized and strategic mind and excellent client management skills. As the Strategic Account Director for a robust and rapidly evolving portfolio of client projects, you will play a significant role in defining the strategic approach to delivery across all work categories from start to finish, including strategic consulting, integrated marketing, editorial, creative campaign work, coalition building, partnership management and more. You will lead and deliver category-defining projects and campaigns - taking them from initial project plan and timeline to execution. You are a self-starter, motivated by learning, able to work quickly, and a creative problem solver with incredibly strong communication skills and a passion for polish. Candidates should be comfortable working in a startup environment. This is a high-touch client-facing role that requires maturity and discretion; candidates should enjoy cultivating client relationships and leading client calls. Responsibilities include:Lead the team in how we get the work done - do we need research? What's the right timeline, what resources are we missingSee around the corners of the work and manage up to agency leadership with potential roadblocks either in the work or with clients or partnersBe the leader of your team, setting goals, challenging colleagues and motivating others to deliver the highest quality service to our clientsMain quality check - as first point of review on all materials, you're assessing whether they fit the IH standard, hold strategic water, and uphold the Invisible Hand standardYou can play both strategic lead and project manager, owning timelines, status trackers, day to day client management, as well as thinking holistically about the problems we're solving in the workAct as client advocate by anticipating their needs and reactions to ensure agency work product aligns to their expectations; developing a deep understanding of their work and making their objectives paramount in all we doKeep an eye towards business development and organic growth opportunities for the clients and projects you're the lead onServing as proxy for Managing Director and / or CEO in client meetingsHere's what we're looking for:At least 5+ years of client-facing account management and/or strategy consulting experience in an agency or production houseYou're a strategist who can play an account person or you're a career account person who is exceptionally gifted in strategic thinkingSome experience leading production is extremely useful but not requiredExperience building trusted client relationshipsGreat presentation skills (both written and oral)You can hold the pen on a great deck. The team will work on it together, but you know how to make it sing and clean up formatting, etc.Capable and conversant in all aspects of a creative, strategy and asset production workflowAbility to synthesize complex information into clear, concise briefs in partnership with stakeholdersAppetite for solving problems, developing effective solutions, and performing in high-velocity, deadline-driven environmentsExceptional organizational skillsAbility to closely track project performance and oversee the successful completion of short and long term milestones
