ABOUT THE LEGAL & CRISIS TEAM BerlinRosen's Legal Affairs & Crisis Communications team combines traditional crisis communications helping institutions, companies, nonprofits and high net-worth individuals defend themselves from reputational threats by shaping the narrative swirling around them with advocacy for some of the most important causes of our day-defending civil rights, combating gender and race discrimination, advocating for gun violence prevention. The team serves as high-level strategic partners, helping clients identify a desired outcome and then chart a course to reach it, whether via stakeholder communications, media strategy, leveraging of owned channels or, most often, a combination of those tactics and more. - Lead strategic conversations and advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts to deliver top-notch results for our clients
- Develop and oversee integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals
- Directly manage and mentor staff, and provide overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and client work
- Collaborate closely with the Legal & Crisis management team to develop and inspire our team of strategists to be innovative and creative
Essential skills:
- Has 6+ years of relevant work experience in the legal space, strategic communications, media relations, journalism or a related field
- Is an avid consumer of news, with a strong news sense and knowledge of the media, and experience engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key reporters covering the top issues of the day, from labor and economic justice, racial and gender equity to immigrant rights, healthcare, climate and more
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to multi-task easily, including handling multiple assignments at once, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details
- Understands organizing and advocacy communications, including social media campaigning, writing for the web (website copy, social media posts, articles, etc.), local, state or national politics, and how to engage with members of the media for both rapid response and long lead stories
- Enjoys managing people and has experience in successfully motivating, leading and mentoring a diverse team to meet objectives

We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels. Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $110,000-$130,000 Benefits:
