THE OPPORTUNITY

Our service professionals play a vital role in supporting our clients with day-to-day account management, claims management, and underwriting services that ensure they have what they need to protect what matters most. Through a robust network of resources, you will be amongst some of the industry's top talent to help guide and support our customer's needs and provide them with innovative insurance solutions.

The book of business consists of clients ranging from 100 to 5,000+ lives, involving both self-funded and fully insured plan types. Our Account Executive develops, manages, and expands relationships with employee benefits clients by performing the following duties:

  • Manages assigned book of business, develops client relationships and meets strategic objectives to grow and retain clients.
  • Helps to develop and implement client's benefits strategies.
  • Prepares a plan for each account to identify what and how short and long term needs may be met.
  • Interfaces with the client at both the HR Manager/Director level as well as the C-Suite level to understand the customer's overall objectives and requirements.
  • Maintains regular interactions with clients to develop client relationship as well as advise of new product and service offerings and obtain feedback on performance.
  • Ensures all services are implemented according to established project plans and all client deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Acts as the quarterback directing the account team, which may be comprised of an Account Representative(s) and Benefit Analyst(s) on all client work and deliverables.
  • Ensures account team is executing deliverables according to standards and best practices.
  • Coaches and mentors the service team and provides direction to the team on: RFP and marketing process, strategies for new and renewing plans, direction on contribution modeling, creating experience reports, pre-renewal and renewal timelines, project plans, meetings and presentations, communications and all aspects of open enrollment.
  • Works with clients to identify the possibility of wellness initiatives; pulls in the Wellness Consultant/team to develop alternatives, determine specific plans and implement.
  • Offers and implements value-added services.
  • Develops client's 3-5 year strategic plan.
  • Is the team point person in regards to escalation for issues or activities that the customer encounters with benefits programs, carriers and services.
  • Understands and can explain all aspects of carrier renewals for assigned clients.
  • Keeps current on compliance initiatives and changes in legislation impacting employee benefit programs and communicates with clients on these changes.
  • Is well educated on all HUB products and services. Coordinates with the producer on any out of scope services.
  • WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 + years of related experience within a brokerage environment.
  • Experience supporting the large group market (100+ lives).
  • Self-funding experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience as a strategic lead for accounts (leading client meetings, client teams and the delegation of deliverables).
  • Must hold a valid CA Life Agent license.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Industry knowledge of employee benefits products and services.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • The position can be a hybrid role (a few days/week in the office and a few days/week working from home).

    The expected salary range for this position is $66,560 to $96,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
