Join Bio-Rad as our Account Executive III where you will work as our Life Science Instrument Specialist. You will sell our genomics and proteomics large instruments and consumables. The Global Commercial Operations Sales team builds close partnerships with our customers so we can deeply understand their needs and identify the right solutions to help them achieve their goals. Together, we empower our customers with the products and tools they need to make critical breakthroughs in research and treatment.In this consultative, technical sales role, the ideal candidate will live in the NYC/North NJ area and will cover the following areas: New York City/Long Island and North New Jersey. You will be responsible for 25% travel throughout the territory. You are responsible for prospecting, nurturing, and closing sales leads for Western Blot imagers, multiplex array readers, chromatography instrumentation, ddPCR, real-time PCR systems & consumables in both team and individual selling scenarios. Salary + commission pay structure with company car are provided.How You'll Make an ImpactDevelop and Execute a Territory Sales PlanPromote and Sell the Bio-Rad Equipment Portfolio and accompanying consumable workflows to achieve territory sales goalsBuild, Manage and grow the sales opportunity funnel via CRMIdentify, Nurture and Grow sales opportunitiesManage and meet customer deadlinesPartner and communicate with regional sales team to ensure achievement of territory sales goalsProactively update CRM on a daily basisCommunicate with regional manager on activities, market trends, opportunities, and forecastDemonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills within Bio-Rad and externally with customersLearn technical aspects of product portfolio and learn to demo key productsWhat You BringEducation: BA/BS (required) MS/PhD (preferred)Work Experience: 8+ years of sales experience with a strong focus on selling both Genomics and/or Proteomics capital equipment & consumables portfolios preferred. Relevant research experience can replace sales experience.Previous experience selling to academic and government customers preferredCandidate must demonstrate scientific understanding and fluency in the areas we serve with our product portfolioExcellent communication & presentation skills (Verbal & Written)Highly motivated with a demonstrated record of successStrong knowledge of the genomics and proteomics research spaceExcellent interpersonal skills Developed analytical skillsKnowledge of and Microsoft officeTotal Rewards Package:At Bio-Rad, we're empowered by our purpose and recognize that our employees are as well. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
