Our work and people are unique and featured nationally. FHA consistently earns high marks in annual rankings of public relations agencies, including 6th in PR Week's list of Top 10 US Public Affairs agencies, PRSA's PRism Awards, Capitol Weekly's Top 100 Influencers and the Los Angeles Business Journal's Top Disruptors.

  • Develop messaging, fact sheets, infographics, newsletters, presentations, press releases, commentary and website content .
  • Conduct media outreach, secure coverage, manage media databases and build monitoring reports.
  • Coordinate creative design of content with our in-house creative director and/or outside design firms.
  • Maintain expertise in social media and digital tools.
  • Secure and prep client executives for events, panels, podcasts and speaking engagements.
  • Support the development of social channel engagement strategies and online community management.
  • Track client annual budgets, monthly work-back/production plans and produce weekly activity trackers.
  • Participate in development of integrated strategic plans and research/insights analysis.
  • Drive a strong commitment to quality and pursuit of excellence.

GREAT THINGS WE'LL DO FOR YOU:

  • Results oriented culture that rewards success and individual achievement.
  • Be clear about our mission and purpose – addressing some of California's most important challenges and elevating our people.
  • Ensure you're challenged and motivated.
  • Drive a culture that celebrates and recognizes your accomplishments and links them to the growth of the team and agency as a whole.
  • Provide a supportive environment that focuses on team first.
  • Structure monthly mentoring meetings and formalized performance evaluations with clear metrics.
  • Provide a transparent environment where company goals and metrics are shared.

DESIRED SKILLSETS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a public relations/affairs agency, government office, trade association, or corporate communications in-house.
  • Knowledge of California's political, policy and media landscapes.
  • Comfortable and confident in complex, multi-tasking management role.
  • Highly organized manager of projects.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; articulate and able to communicate effectively with clients and external audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external client teams.
  • Awareness of importance of and commitment to driving culture – natural team builder.
  • Bachelor's Degree in public relations, journalism, communications, political science or related experience.
