This role requires a deep understanding of freight brokerage and logistics, ensuring smooth operations and building a strong reputation for service excellence.Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients and carriers, fostering long-term relationships to drive client retention and growth
- Serve as the main point of contact for client and carrier inquiries, swiftly addressing service issues
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company goals
- Work closely with dispatch, operations, and management to meet client needs while optimizing profitability
- Negotiate rates and terms with shippers and carriers, maintaining competitive yet profitable pricing
- Share market insights and industry trends with clients to aid informed logistics decisions
- Track, analyze, and report account performance metrics to senior management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, ideally with FTL expertise
- Proven success in account management or business development within logistics/transportation
- Strong negotiation skills and professionalism in challenging interactions
- Commitment to exceptional customer service, providing 24/7 support for client and carrier needs
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in CRM and TMS systems is preferred
- Solid understanding of industry regulations, market conditions, and pricing strategies
