Job Standards
The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) is seeking an individual to sell and promote Springfield as a destination for conventions, meetings and events. Achieve assigned sales activity and room night sales goals, which are reviewed quarterly and annually. Plan and coordinate direct sales calls and sales missions to assigned market segments. Research and gather appropriate information on target market to generate prospects and qualify leads. The position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the hospitality or service industry, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid class D driver's license is required.
