Company Overview:The Joliet Slammers are an independent baseball team located in Joliet, IL in the Frontier League dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for fans in the city of Joliet and surrounding areas . As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and results-driven Ticket Sales Account Executive to join our talented team.Position Summary / Objective: The Sales Executive will fill an integral role on the Slammers' sales team with a heavy focus on Ticket Sales. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, meeting sales targets, and contributing to the overall success of our organization by driving revenue through season, group and premium ticket sales packages. This individual will own the full ticket sales and service lifecycle. This position may also include elements of sponsorship activations and sales. During Events, the Sales Executive may be called upon for other duties such as game-day/event set up, customer service, ticket taking, concessions, promotions, stadium operations, and other duties as assigned.Primary (Essential) Duties:
- Meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Actively sell and maintain a healthy book of ticket sales business
- Generating revenue for the Slammers organization via season ticket sales, group ticket sales, individual game ticket sales in the local and regional market
- Proactively developing NEW business via phone calls, email campaigns, referrals, and face to face meetings
- Representing the Slammers at outside community, and charitable functions
- Generating leads within our CRM, as well as online and in person prospecting (networking events)
- Effectively following up with clients to help provide repeat business and to meet excellent customer service requirements
- Achieving at least 80 touch points a day, with a minimum of 50 phone calls
- Participating in sales and staff meetings as scheduled
- Perform assigned duties at all home games as well other events held at the Slammers' Stadium
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration
- Minimum two (2) years of sales experience
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Experience with CRM systems
- Extremely coachable and eager to learn every day
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to build a career in the sports business
- Must be able to work evenings, holidays and weekends, as required
- Must complete a successful background check
