Account Manager - Automation Solutions Location: Nicholasville, KY Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Summary: A global industry controls/factory automation (FA) engineering company is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Automation Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and exceeding customer expectations. You will work closely with customers throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to project completion, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Manage assigned customer accounts, fostering strong relationships and building long-term partnerships. *Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges related to factory automation and industrial controls. *Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the assigned territory. *Prepare and deliver compelling presentations showcasing the company's automation solutions and their benefits. *Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and present customized project proposals and quotations. *Manage and negotiate project pricing and terms. *Coordinate and participate in customer visits to gather information, build rapport, and provide ongoing support. *Generate detailed customer reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs). *Support sales and marketing initiatives by creating presentations, developing competitive proposals, and participating in industry events (as needed). *Work collaboratively with internal teams (sales, engineering, and management) to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. *Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in automation technology through ongoing training. Qualifications: *3-5 years of sales or account management experience required; experience with automation solutions not required. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills *Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities *A positive and results-oriented attitude *Ability to work independently and as part of a team *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). *Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. Compensation: *Salary: $80K + Profit Sharing Bonus for the first year ($2,000 - $5,000) *Incentive-based pay from the second year onward (based on individual performance)
