Location: Hybrid 1-2x a week, NYC office (midtown). Job Summary To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities
- Provide support to Account Executives supporting upper middle/large commercial lines accounts.
- Perform research/analysis and handling of wide variety of client/broker questions on coverage/eligibility and government reporting compliance
- Assist Account Executives with renewals from beginning to end, including quote reviews and proposal preparation
- Process endorsements and audits per client requests
- Conduct policy reviews, making necessary corrections and ensure timely policy delivery to insureds
- Conduct market comparisons by analyzing insurance rates and renewal information
- Deliver certificates of insurance and auto IDs and renewal and upon insureds request
- Assist with preparation of applications for presentation to carriers (or marketing manager on large clients), including analysis of coverages
- Provide premium allocations and finance quotes per client requests
- Review client accounting history, respond to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contact clients on receivable collections
- Collaborate with internal claims processing team to ensure timely claim reporting and provide additional support when necessary
- Assist with input and maintenance of Agency Management System
- Stay informed regarding industry information, new product/program developments, coverages, legislation, technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist in supervising Assistant Account Manager and/or Administrative Assistant position(s).
Minimum Requirements
- Active P&C license
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational training or business experience
- College degree in insurance, business or related field preferred
- Insurance Designation preferred or willingness to attain one.
- Minimum of 3-5 years account management experience in an agency setting - Commercial Insurance.
- Sagitta and / or other Agency Management System and Image Right preferred.
KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Advanced knowledge of carrier websites for application detail input
- Full knowledge of Property Casualty lines of coverage and services
- Recognize problems and respond appropriately
- Able to analyze situations logically to draw solid conclusions
- Advanced experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects (I believe you said you are willing to train).
- Advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet as well as Microsoft Office programs to include Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS and PowerPoint (do you need advanced Excel? Pivot Tables and Vlookups?)
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
- Strong ability to multi-task and assign priority
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently

The national average salary for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits.
